MCM Sommerso Art Glass Bird Statement Set Tall Duck Vase & Rooster Figures < > $280.00 Qty Out of Stock This item will be shipped within 10 days. Product Description Add a striking splash of retro sophistication to your space with this beautiful, heavy-density pair of mid-century art glass avian sculptures. Crafted using the classic Sommerso technique—where rich emerald green and warm amber cores are suspended within heavy clear glass casing—these pieces beautifully capture and refract natural light. The set includes: The Tall Duck / Mallard Bud Vase: Features a spectacular pulled tail plume, a curled decorative accent feather, and a textured, twisted clear pedestal base. The open, hollowed back allows it to double as a functional flower vase. The Rooster / Pheasant Centerpiece Bowl: A sleek, low-profile design featuring a striking amber comb and a long, sweeping green tail. The dipped back serves as a beautiful tray, catch-all dish, or low centerpiece bowl.   Provenance & Style Notes An exceptional decorators' pair showcasing spectacular Mid-Century Modern styling. The low-profile rooster centerpiece features a beautifully flat-ground, highly polished base consistent with mid-century Murano glass craftsmanship. The magnificent tall duck bud vase features an exquisite twisted ribbon pedestal base popularised by mid-century European and select premier Japanese art glass export houses (such as Iwatsu) replicating Venetian styles for luxury department stores. Unsigned as is typical for the era, this coordinated set is an absolute dream for Hollywood Regency, Retro, or Mid-Century Modern interior styling.   Dimensions & Specifications Duck Vase: 36cm (H) x 21cm (W) x 9.5cm (D) | Weight: 1.2kg Rooster Bowl: 25cm (H) x 24cm (W) x 7.0cm (D) | Weight: 1.1kg Combined Net Weight: 2.3kg (excluding packaging material) Era: Circa 1960s / 1970s Style: Mid-Century Modern / Venetian Style   Condition Report Both pieces are in very good vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or structural repairs.
